Join Us at the Glen Parva Parish Council Gala 2024
We are excited to announce our participation in the Glen Parva Parish Council Gala 2024, taking place on Saturday, 10th August, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Dorothy Avenue Playing Fields (LE2 9JD). This year’s gala is set to be a spectacular Summer Olympics Special, and we at Soar Sound Community Radio are thrilled to support and contribute to this fantastic community event.
Event Highlights:
– Free Admission: Enjoy a day of fun without any entry fee.
– Ice Cream and Food: Delight in a variety of treats.
– Drinks and Cakes: Available from The Park Café.
– Beer & Prosecco: Provided by Glenhills Sports & Social Club.
– Charity Stalls and Tombolas: Engage with local charities and try your luck.
– Children’s Rides and Attractions: Under 5’s rides at £5.00, and over 5’s rides and adrenaline activities at £7.50.
Soar Sound Activities:
As part of our commitment to making this gala an unforgettable experience, Soar Sound Community Radio will be hosting a range of activities:
- Live Broadcasts: Tune in to live coverage and interviews with event participants and organisers. Volunteers are needed to help manage our broadcast station on-site.
- Music and Entertainment: Enjoy a mix of music curated by our talented DJs, with live performances and interactive sessions. We invite our musical volunteers to showcase their talents.
- Community Stories: Share your local stories and experiences. We will have a dedicated booth where attendees can record their messages and stories, which we will feature in future broadcasts.
- Fun Challenges: Participate in fun, family-friendly challenges and games. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate these activities and ensure everyone has a great time.
- Meet and Greet: Connect with the Soar Sound team and fellow community members. This is a great opportunity to discuss ideas and potential collaborations.
